In February 2000 we decided to draw up an environmental charter, which was rewarded in 2005 with the international label :
"Clé Verte"www.laclefverte.org.
Our’s is a four-point environmental charter :

WASTE MANAGEMENT/SELECTIVE SORTING
- Baskets on each floor and at reception for collecting paper and newspapers (in 2006: 695 kg of paper).
- At reception, collection of batteries, bulbs, ink cartridges, glass.
- Collection of glass bottles (wine and orange juice) (in 2006: 3270 bottles, i.e. 1.3 tonnes of glass).
- Recovery of frying oils.
- Recovery of kitchen fats (fat tray).
USE OF ENVIRONMENTAL-FRIENDLY PRODUCTS
- Use of recycled toilet paper and kitchen roll.
- Use of recycled commercial paper and this welcome booklet
- Use of phosphate-free detergents.
- Use of accumulators instead of batteries.
- Take into account the environmental effect when investing (study of products or “greener” solutions).
LIMITATION OF WASTE PRODUCTION
- Limiting the use of single packaged products (jam sold in ramekins, unpackaged sugar, soap and shampoo packaged in kraft paper).
- Limiting welcome products and documents available in the rooms (many products are available at the reception desk).
- Recovery of paper using the backs ages for notes or internal documents (40% savings on paper purchases).
ENERGY MANAGEMENT
- Use of energy-saving bulbs.
- Installation of thermostats on radiators.
- Washing bath towels and sheets on request only.
- Recovery of rainwater for watering the garden.
- Installation of solar collectors for hot water.
- Thermal insulation of buildings.
- New: rental of electric bikes
